My name is Caitlin. You can call me Catie. Or Caitlin. Or Kitty. It really doesn’t matter, so long as you’re not calling out something like “Hey shithead!” I might get mad at that.

I was born April 14, 1989. Which means I’m currently 21 years old. I have a mom and a dad who are still married and just one sister. I also have a brother-in-law and the worlds greatest nephew.

I’m married to my highschool sweetheart, Branden. He was my first and only boyfriend, and we got married on Halloween, 2009. It was a really small wedding with mostly family and a few close friends. You can view a small selection of photos over on my Flickr. We have two kittie-kids, Barlow James and Sylas Severus. (Yes, he’s named after Snape from Harry Potter.)

I have a passion for photography. I own a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I’ve also got a few lenses. I shoot exclusively in manual. I feel it’s the only way to learn and get better at what I’m doing. I’d like to get more clients for my (very small) photography business.

I graduated high school in 2007. I haven’t gone to college. I might go back, I might not. I have too much I want to learn to just do one specific thing. So maybe eventually.

I’m pretty anti-Christianity. That’s not to say that if you’re a Christian, I hate you. That’s not the case at all. I just really dislike most religions because they’re all fairly hypocritical and condescending. I consider myself spiritual somedays, atheist others. I don’t believe in a God. The Belief-O-Matic quiz classified me as neo-pagan, whatever that means. But don’t worry, I have a strong moral compass, and I’ll try not to corrupt you too much.

I’m passionate about children, parenting, birth, and making informed decisions about all three. I’m a future crunchy mom. Future homeschooler. Pro-natural birth. Very, VERY pro-midwifery. I’m a lactivist. And a future Attachment Parent.

Other useful info: I have 4 tattoos, I love music, I’m extremely crafty, I knit, sew, crochet, and spin my own yarn. I’ve been known to sing in the shower, loudly and off-key. My favorite president was is FDR. Lincoln is a close second. I enjoy watching History channel and arguing politics. I’m a grammar and spelling Nazi. I’m pro-choice, but also not pro-abortion. I voted for Obama. I love the color green. I’m quite fond of artificial watermelon flavor. I make killer biscuits and gravy. I have an opinion on just about everything.
